Hi, we’re Onosai and Amy Auva’a, founders of NZ Sports Frames, New Zealand's only specialist sports framers . We understand how sentimental a sports jersey is, having been in the sporting world for many years through Onosai’s professional rugby career.
At NZ Sports Frames we believe that a players jersey carries special memories that need to be honoured. We carefully preserve sports jerseys and memorabilia in our handcrafted wooden frames so they can continue to be celebrated with pride. We use only the best framing equipment and materials to ensure your sports memories will last.
NZ Sports Frames is a family-owned business that started as a passion project during Onosai's rugby career. He wanted to display his favourite jerseys but realised there were a lack of options available. Being handy on the tools, Onosai designed a first-of-its-kind acrylic lockable case that proudly displayed a jersey yet was easily removable to wear to a game. That led to handcrafting wooden frames with Amy mounting rugby jerseys, for their friends and his team-mates. Word quickly spread and by 2012, Onosai and Amy were investing in specialist equipment, materials and expert training to produce top quality frames and to keep up with demand.
In February 2021, the business had well and truly outgrown the home office, and NZ Sports Frames moved into a commercial building in Manukau.
NZ Sports Frames can produce any type of custom frame and will guide you on the best type of frame for your jersey and memorabilia. We do specialist sports memorabilia framing and can frame all sports gear such as baseball, cricket, football equipment and basketball singlet, hockey and marathon framing. Call us to discuss your unique needs and have your favourite sports jersey and memorabilia displayed in its full glory.
NZ Sports Frames operate out of our on-site framing workshop and showroom located at Unit 10, 18 Lambie Drive, Manukau, Auckland.
